Today we launched an exciting update to our office hours feature: scheduled availability!

Previously, office hours were a one trick pony. Setup the typical work week for each staff, then make changes to individual days to fine tune your schedule. This worked great for folks that kept their hours the same year round, didn't take vacation, and never "had something come up".

But Fons is for real people, not robots. And with scheduled availability, Fons makes all your wildest non-robot scheduling dreams come true.

Default Availability

Do you work a strict Monday-Friday 9am-5pm? Perhaps you're a night owl and prefer evenings after 6pm? Or maybe you're using Fons as a side hustle and only teach on the weekends. Whatever your typical availability is, we've got you covered with what we call your default availability. Set it and forget it. We'll make sure clients can only book appointments during these times.

Scheduled Availability

Default availabilities are a great place to start, but your schedule is complex and your availability needs to reflect that. Perhaps your summer schedule differs from the rest of the year, you want to block out vacation time, or need to take medical or family leave. Now you can schedule availabilities for a specific date range that will override the defaults. No more clicking around to change Every. Single. Day.

One-off Availability

We aren't changing the ability to edit staff availability for a single day. People get sick and dentists appointments happen. Just like always, you can edit your availability for a single day directly from the calendar view.
